BattleBard#

Overview#

An alt controller drum rhythm game, where the players play drum beats to combat and fight off the enemies in the level. Each drum rhythm combo performs attack abilities and buffs for the player troops in the game and fights with the NPCs.

Contributions#

  • Developed the core AI logic for the player and the enemy troops.
  • Implemented the music time loop for the game that plays the music at 60 bpm/120 bpm based on the game config.
  • Implemented player inputs for various abilities and player buffs in the game.
  • Programmed the Music Rhythm UI for the player with correct and incorrect feedback for the combo progression.
  • Implemented the Game UI and the settings UI.
  • Integrated Wwise sound banks for the game from audio designers.
  • Worked on Arduino hardware programming for detecting the button inputs.
  • Integrated the hardware inputs from the Arduino controller buttons.
  • Integrated the Audio and text narratives in the game, working with the narrative designers.
